MOBILITY PROGRAM

Due to the identified lack of transportation coordination, and understanding of transportation services, here in Eastern CT. The ECTC Inc, receives funds from the Federal Transit Administration to help address these issues.  We want to help senior citizens and people with disabilities navigate transportation options to stay connected to their community whether it be attending a family function, shopping, getting to a medical appointment or work.  Transportation is the link to these services which allows a person to remain independent.

ECTC’s Mobility Program works toward maximizing resources of services such as public transit, senior transportation, volunteers, non-profits and taxi services.

 Our emphasis is on:

                * meeting the consumer’s needs

                * providing information on local & regional transportation options

                * identifying transit barriers throughout the eastern region

                * looking for ways to create partnerships to address service gaps

 If you need help navigating the various transit services in eastern Connecticut or would like to tell us about some of your transit barriers, call our Mobility staff at (860)848-5914 or contact us by email at ectcmobility@ectcinc.com.

 Accessible transportation benefits our personal lives as most of our daily activities take place outside our homes.

The Mobility Management Programs listed below are also funded by the Federal Transit Administration and work together along with the CT Department of Transportation to show you your transportation options and to identify gaps and barriers.
